SISU 2 (2025)

SISU 2 roars back onto the screen with brutal force, blood-soaked grit, and the unkillable spirit of its silent warrior. Continuing the legend of Aatami Korpi—the stoic gold prospector turned Nazi-slayer—the sequel ups the ante in every way: more carnage, more grit, and more of that grim, unstoppable Finnish fury.

Set shortly after the events of the first film, Aatami finds himself hunted once again—this time by ruthless mercenaries hired by remnants of the crumbling Reich. What begins as a quiet return to solitude quickly erupts into a full-scale war, as Aatami is forced to wield his savage survival skills in an even deadlier landscape. Mines, machine guns, and improvised death traps abound.

Jorma Tommila returns with even more intensity, embodying a hero who speaks few words but leaves a lasting impact—mostly with blades, bullets, and explosives. The violence is visceral, stylized, and often darkly comedic, echoing the grindhouse spirit of John Wick meets Mad Max, with a Nordic twist.

Director Jalmari Helander doubles down on the visual flair—snow-drenched vistas, smoky battlegrounds, and claustrophobic ruins all feel like paintings soaked in gasoline. The pacing is relentless, the villains are deliciously despicable, and the payoff is pure, bloody satisfaction.

SISU 2 doesn’t pretend to be deep—but it is brutally effective, thrilling, and unapologetically fun. It reminds us that revenge might be a dish best served cold… but it’s even better when laced with gunpowder.
